We describe reasonable adjustments as another way of saying small changes that remove barriers for someone with a disability to accessing care.

Disability is one of the nine protected characteristics under the act, and states that a person has a disability if they have a 'physical or mental impairment', and the impairment has a 'substantial and long-term adverse effect on their ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities', e.g. Learning Disability, Autism, ADHD or other neuro-diverse and cognitive related conditions, physical and sensory difficulties.

They are a legal duty under the Equality Act 2010 for anyone with a disability.

We have identified six areas of reasonable adjustments which you can find out more about by clicking the buttons below.

If there are reasonable adjustments that would benefit you, please do let us know.
