The Emergency Services Mental Health Triage teams work with emergency services to offer the most appropriate advice and support for people experiencing mental health difficulties. Our aim is to reduce the number of individuals attending Accident and Emergency departments when experiencing a mental health crisis.
Our rapid response team attends the scene of any incidents where emergency services have been called out in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. We can also offer telephone advice and support to emergency services covering Somerset. We provide face-to-face assessments to offer support, make appropriate referrals into mental health services, and liaising with care teams to develop a care pathway.
Our Mental Health Control Room Triage team works alongside the police to offer advice and support. We also support people who come into contact with the police who might be having mental health difficulties.
