The Forensic Community Learning Disability Team supports adults with a learning disability who have offended, are suspected to have offended, or who are considered at significant risk of offending.
Adults referred to our service may have additional needs associated with autistic spectrum condition, personality disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), mental health and substance use.
Our service provides:
- assessment, treatment and advice to service users, carers, professionals and providers in a range of community settings, including residential care, supported living and local prisons.
- specialist forensic risk assessment and risk management advice.
- assessment and intervention for specific offending behaviours.
- research, training, consultancy and clinical supervision.
The Forensic Community Learning Disability Team is able to accept referrals for adults registered with a GP in Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire. Our team works closely with local Community Learning Disability Teams and criminal justice personnel.
