There are general lifestyle factors that can modify the expression of attention and concentration. Here are 5 things that can optimise general wellbeing.

Exercising regularly

Exercise can help with managing the symptoms of attentional issues. Provided there are no medical reasons that prevent exercising. Exercising regularly helps work off excess physical and emotional energy in a positive way while soothing and calming the body. This may also improve general wellbeing including sleep, mood and blood pressure.

Eating a healthy and balanced diet

Limiting processed foods, sugar and caffeine improves our physical health and evens out our energy levels and mood swings. Find out more about what you eat can impact your wellbeing here.

Getting plenty of sleep

This can help with focus, productivity and mood. Create a consistent bedtime routine, which includes turning off screens at least one hour before bed and getting between 7-9 hours of sleep every night.

Time management

Practice time management setting deadlines for everything (even small tasks), taking regular breaks and writing down important dates, appointments or occasions. Check out more ideas here.

Getting outside

Green space time has also been recommended for those with attentional issues. Find out how nature can support you here.
