Residents across Bath and North East Somerset (BaNES), Swindon and Wiltshire, and Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire who have been supported by local mental health, learning disability or autism services are invited to nominate a team or member of staff for a prestigious award.
Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) is calling on patients, service users and their families to nominate those who have made an outstanding difference to their care or treatment in the past 12 months.
AWP provides healthcare for people with serious mental illness, learning disabilities and autism in inpatient and community-based settings in the south-west.
Each year staff come together in celebration of the achievements of their colleagues, their commitment to delivering the Trust values and the high quality, compassionate care they provide to patients. The awards are an opportunity to recognise the truly remarkable staff who have gone above and beyond in their role to make a positive difference to the care of our patients
Nominations can be made in 14 categories and anyone can make a nomination - staff, patients, families and carers and other members of the public.
Shortlisted nominees in each category will be honoured at a ceremony in the spring.
Dominic Hardisty, Chief Executive at AWP, said: “We’re delighted that nominations are now open for our annual staff awards as we celebrate the very best thing about AWP – its people!
“Our awards are just one way in which we can recognise the remarkable work that happens across Trust. If there’s a staff member or team that has made a real difference to you or a loved one, please do get nominating!”
