We are delighted to announce that Paul Miller, Non-Executive Director at Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board, has been named as the new Chair of Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust.
Paul will step down from his role at BSW ICB at the end of October 2024 to take up the role of Chair at AWP on 1 November 2024.
He has been a non-executive director since the establishment of the integrated care board in July 2022.
Paul said:“I am delighted to be joining Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. I have seen first-hand the importance of service user and staff engagement in providing services and I am looking forward to working alongside staff and teams to continue the progress the Trust is making.
“In my role as Chair I will be a champion and advocate for local mental health, learning disability and autism services and alongside the rest of the leadership team, will continue to drive the Trust’s commitment to providing high quality, compassionate care to people across the south west."
Paul will replace Charlotte Hitchings who stepped down as Chair at AWP in September. Brian Stables, Non-Executive Director at AWP, will continue to be interim Chair until Paul starts in November.
