Join us in raising awareness of mental health and help us to challenge misconceptions about serious mental illness.

Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) was started 21 years ago by The Mental Health Foundation and is an annual opportunity for the whole of the UK to focus on achieving good mental health - it is now one of the biggest awareness weeks both across the UK and globally.

The theme of MHAW this year is 'loneliness' and we want to do as much as we can do reduce the loneliness people in our care experience. Loneliness is often related to the stigma and misconceptions that the general population hold about serious mental illness. We will be focusing on challenging this during MHAW through raising awareness and educating people about what it means to experience a serious mental illness.

One of the ways in which you can help us to support MHAW, is by making a pledge about how you are going to smash the stigma and raise awareness of Mental Health. We have a real opportunity to help to change the way the public perceive people with serious mental illness and we need you to join us in raising awareness and challenging misconceptions about mental health conditions.

We need your help and support, so please get involved in our below poll and pledge your support for our campaign this year.
