A mental health unit run by Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) has been awarded a five star food hygiene rating.

The Longfox Unit in Western Super Mare is a Mental Health Inpatient Unit for adults experiencing serious mental health conditions.

AWP aims to provide the best experience for its service users and good food and hygiene is a key part of that all-round experience.

Sarah Jones, Director of Nursing said: “Good nutrition is an integral component of patient care, and can have a really positive impact on service users' overall experience while they are with us.”

Adrian Bolster Associate Director of Operational Services said: “We take food safety very seriously and as well as the annual Food Standards Agency inspection, I’m proud of our team have received a five star rating.”
