We are aware of the strong feelings which have been expressed towards the Acer drug and alcohol detoxification Unit over recent months.
The contracts to provide medically supported detoxification treatment at Acer were due to end on 31st March 2025 but these have now been extended until the end of June 2025 to enable time to engage on the longer-term viability, sustainability, and demand for the service. A decision on the longer-term future of the service can then be taken in partnership.
