All our service users, carers and partners can expect to be treated with respect and dignity when using AWP services. We demonstrate our commitment to this in the following ways:
- Making sure that the individual needs of service users and carers are taken into account and supported through a holistic approach to care.
- Service users and carers are encouraged to provide information that helps staff meet their cultural, spiritual and any other needs. That is why we collect Equality and Diversity data.
- Working to increase the diversity of service users’ and carers’ voices. This helps us to understand their experience in using our services, and involve them continuously to improve our services.
- Ensuring equality in access to our services through interpretation and translation. We are also proud to say that we have a specific BSL Space on our website, which has a lot of information in sign language DVDs.
